Why I Chose to be an  SEO Specialist

When COVID-19 engulfed the entire world, everything was put on hold - our lives,  jobs, our ability to pay our bills physically and even businesses, big or small have to take a back seat. Some people have lost their jobs permanently. Others still can't go back to work because of travel restrictions and have not received any wages while on break. Still, there are others who are lucky enough to have stayed on the same job, received monthly salary without delay and were allowed to work from home. Now, that is the dream. Suddenly, businesses became open to the idea of digital marketing and online shops. And regular employees who hold a 9-5 job have realized the convenience of telecommuting. The world seemed to have embraced the digital life in a span of four months. 

Freelancing is not new to me at all. I have discovered remote working five years ago. I have tried my hands on online tutoring and taught Japanese students, young and old alike, how to properly communicate using English. Although, I am a licensed teacher, I have no evident passion for teaching. So I decided to quit a year ago to focus on my other skills. Before plunging into the freelancing industry, I was a seasoned customer support agent for BPO companies. So, I tried applying for similar jobs that will allow me to use my skill set. However, the market is downright saturated. Because of that, I have not been very fortunate in my job hunting. Until little by little, I have some friends who have also decided to work remotely. There was this specific friend who always seemed to have clients lining in the pipeline. I got curious because we have the same skill set but she was always blessed with jobs. I learned that she studied and mastered different skills so her scope for acquiring clients is bigger now. She recommended FVA Business Consultancy to me so I'd be able to enroll the course/s of my choice. I have always been interested in SEO or Search Engine Optimization from the get-go so it was a no-brainer choice for me. The fact that SEO Specialists are in demand these days also contributed to my decision. Now, that I am managing my own website, my love for blogging was revived. I am completely in awe at the wonders of SEO. Discovering how I can completely optimize my website and its content for it to go up to the search results is just mesmerizing. I plan to continue this very same enthusiasm so I'd be able to help more businesses gain more exposure. In our hopes of going completely digital in the coming years, as an SEO specialist, I promise to be part of their success in marketing their products and services online effectively and in turn, gaining more potential customers. Now, that I am an SEO expert, it dawned upon me that a well-optimized website is often paired with great content. I intend to deliver both to my clients.
